• Mechanism of Action:

  • Ivosidenib specifically targets and inhibits mutant IDH1 (isocitrate dehydrogenase 1), a key enzyme involved in metabolism. In certain cancers like AML, the IDH1 mutation causes the enzyme to produce 2-hydroxyglutarate (2-HG), a metabolite that drives cancer cell growth and inhibits normal differentiation of blood cells.
  • By inhibiting mutant IDH1, ivosidenib helps decrease the production of 2-HG, promoting normal blood cell development and reducing the growth of cancer cells.
