Merocrit 1000mg (Meropenem Injection IP) is a carbapenem antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections caused by a wide variety of gram-positive, gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria. It works by inhibiting the bacterial cell wall synthesis, causing the bacteria to die and helping to resolve infections.

Merocrit is commonly used for treating infections such as:

• Pneumonia
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Meningitis and sepsis

It is usually administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) in a hospital or clinical setting. Due to its broad-spectrum action, it is often used when the specific bacterial cause of the infection is unknown or if the infection is resistant to other antibiotics.
