Lenvat 10mg Capsule contains Lenvatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) used primarily to treat certain types of cancer. It works by targeting and inhibiting several proteins involved in tumor growth, blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), and metastasis (spread of cancer).

Lenvat (Lenvatinib) is commonly prescribed for:

• Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer, usually in combination with another medication called Everolimus.
• Thyroid cancer, specifically differentiated thyroid cancer that is refractory to radioactive iodine treatment.
• Renal cell carcinoma (RCC), in combination with Everolimus, for patients who have not responded well to prior treatments.

Lenvatinib inhibits multiple vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR), and other kinase pathways, which are involved in the growth and spread of cancer.

It is typically taken orally, once daily, and the dosage may vary depending on the type of cancer being treated.

Common side effects include:

• Loss of appetite
• Nausea
• Hand-foot syndrome (painful redness, swelling, or peeling on the palms and soles)
